Dr. Robert Pendergraft To All Instructors



Robert Pendergraft, PhD serves as Associate Professor of Music Education and Hagan Chair of Church Music at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He additionally serves as Associate Pastor of Music Ministries at First Baptist Church of Salado. He is a sought after voice in the fields of intergenerational worship and universal design/inclusion in the context of corporate worship. As a past president of the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference, one of his research interests and area of publication is on the development of music and worship in the Southern Baptist Convention 1845-1955 which led to a parallel research area into the development of American musical forms and styles. His musicological teaching assignments have included American Music History and Literature to juniors and seniors at UMHB, as well as History of Rock and Roll, History of Church Music and Worship, and Songs for Worship.
