Sena Maddux To All Instructors
Coach Sena Maddux has served as Volleyball Commissioner since she pioneered the Lady Chargers volleyball program in 2012, and has served as a member of the Chargers Athletics Council since then. Coach Maddux was an all-star volleyball player at Belton High School and led her team to many victories, including playoffs! Belton did not have a girls' track team when Coach Maddux went to school there, but when she was in 8th grade, she and her younger sister and cousins had an impressive victory in an exhibition sprint relay running in their bare feet against the high school team from Bruceville-Eddy at the district track meet. She is tireless and efficient and we are thrilled to have her leading our volleyball program. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master's in biology from Baylor University. She and husband, Hank, have five children: Dr. Laura is a professor at Lamar University in Beaumont; Daniel graduated from the University of Houston and owns a technical writing business as well as working for PDI; Landon is a graduate of Harding University in Arkansas and coaches soccer in Pflugerville ISD; Sarah is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is doing graduate work in biology; and Jacob graduated in 2015 after a stellar career with the Chargers varsity football and basketball teams, as well as being an excellent soccer player and state champion shot putter. Hank is a surveyor, and the Madduxes make their home in Belton. They attend the Fifteenth Street Church of Christ in Temple where Coach Maddux is involved with summer youth programs.
